Don’t be scared that it’s a 3 piece rod, Shimano’s rod manufacturing process has ensured the rod performance is just as good as the 1 piece blank models, with a PE 5, 6, 8 & 10 available.
The Grappler Travel Rods are built on the exclusive Shimano Spiral X and Hi-Power X carbon wrapped blanks to provide superior casting performance and strength so you can take the fight to the fish. They also feature the same premium Fuji componentry and spec as the existing Grappler series.
The Shimano Grappler Travel is a specialist saltwater casting series that are a must if you are wanting to chase those trophy species in far away or difficult to get to locations.
Features:
- Spiral X - Spiral X reduces blank twist and torsion to increase rod performance from the inside. It's achieved by using carbon tape rather than carbon sheets which can be manipulated to produce lighter and stronger blanks for specific fishing applications.
- Hi-Power X - Hi-Power X is an additional layer over the top of the internal blank layers that provides an ideally accurate rod curve and delivers accuracy in rod action through strength. It also enables quickness and sharpness in rod action to produce the best blank performance.
